
Center for Environmental Diplomacy (CED) is a not-for-profit (501c3) non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Washington, DC.
CED develops sustainable environmental services that improve living conditions and public health while protecting the environment and natural resources.
CED conducts capacity development and public awareness programs in Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Territories.
CED programs are designed and implemented by local stakeholders and beneficiaries, as appropriate to local circumstances.
CED conducts programs in two main sectors:

Environmental Capacity Development – for executive management and leadership to build appropriate environmental services, practices and policies; and
-
Youth Empowerment – for behavioral change that builds an environmental ethic and complementary education, which enhances the capacity of youth to contribute to civil society. This program also trains teachers in environmental education.
CED supports the democratic and transparent governance of institutions that provide community environmental services.
CED creates partnerships that foster cooperation among Israelis, Palestinians and Jordanians to solve shared environmental problems.
